World’s Smallest 3-Channel RC Helicopter

The SYMA S6 3CH World’s Smallest Radio Controlled Helicopter

I have played around with many radio controlled helicopters and cars in my time, including many micro and mini models and I must admit that when I saw this model sitting down in the shop window of one of my favorite gadget stores I had to stop for a moment to admire it.  Maybe it was the way it was packaged in that nicely architected transparent case with the remote controller with the brightly colored joysticks snugly sitting in the base of the packaging, o it could have been the fact that it was this cute little yello helicopter that was designed to fly around in my living room.  Well, whatever it was that compelled me to take a closer look at this toy designed for kids (and adults) 14 years and older, I knew that I had to get my grubby little paws on one.

The SYMA 3-Channel radio controlled toy helicopter, I believe, is the world’s smallest rc helicopter.  Built of a durable and resilient plastic the SYMA 3 channel helicopter can definitely take a licking, so don’t be afraid to learn how to fly this thing after you have taken it out of the box for the first time.  To be honest I actually did put it through a stress test where I deliberately crashed the toy into the floor as well as the wall and it help up very well indeed.

Surprisingly, the helicopter is very easy to pilot and the controls are designed to make it easy to control the lift throttle, as well as the navigation controls.  There is also a trimmer function for both left and right turns which you can manually adjust while you are in mid-flight to ensure that the model helicopter remains very stable during flight.

There are three channels available which makes it possible to fly up to three of these little models in the same air space at the same time.

When you open the box you get access to simple instruction manual as well as a spare tail propeller and a USB charging cable.  In order to charge your model flying machine you plug one end of the cable into the underbelly of the helicopter (using the mini port) and the other end of the cable can go into a USB port on your laptop or PC.

The charging process lasts about 10 to 15 minutes and you can get a fairly decent 8 to 10 minutes of flying time. The remote controller uses four AAA batteries. The controller allows you to fully control your RC helicopter where you can make it go up, go down, turn left or right and of course, move forwards and backwards.

Another great feature that I forgot to mention is the price.  Yes, in addition to being very small RC toys they also have a small effect on your wallet seeing that they retail between about $25 and $35 (depending on which North American currency that you are using.

These little tikes make excellent birthday or Christmas gifts when you are doing that Secret Santa gift exchange.  Anyone who likes gadgets would love to have one (or a couple) of these in their collection.
