Fisher-Price Interactive Baby Grand Piano Review

Sassy Keyboard Classics Developmental Toy

The Fisher-Price Interactive Baby Grand Piano is suitable for children aged between 9 months and 3 years old. This cute little piano is both entertaining as well as educational at the same time. Your child can learn how to count as well as get familiar with colors as well as gain a basic understanding of music.

The Baby Grand Piano will teach some of the basic concepts of music like pitch, musical tempo as well as introduce them to some of the many styles of music that we listen to today.  What I personally love about this quaint little piano is the fact that there is this happy dancing character that actually moves along to the beat, as your little one has fun playing away at the piano keys.

The dancing character is not all, as there is also a songbook located in the center of the interactive Baby Grand Piano that has real plastic pages that your baby can turn as they strum out a little tune on the keyboard.

There are also eight see through colored piano keys on that actually light up when the piano plays a selection of prerecorded melodies. If your little one wants to simply play their own tune, the keys will also light up when each key is pressed as well.

On the top of the piano there are a series of colorful and smooth plastic buttons and sliders that your little one can manipulate to change the pitch and tempo of the prerecorded tunes that are being played.

In addition to teaching the basic concepts of music, colors and counting, the Fisher-Price Interactive Baby Grand Piano as teaches your kid about opposites as well as the alphabet. Imagine a classroom for your little toddler in the shape of a little interactive piano. Pretty cool.

There are also three modes that the Baby Grand Piano can be put into:

Learning – Teaches colors, counting, the ABCs and introduces your child to music.

Simple Note Playing – You can simply strum your own tune on the eight multi-colored light up keys.

Play Prerecorded Music – The Fisher Price Baby Grand Piano becomes a little music box that plays nice little nursery-rhyme type music that your baby can shake their little diaper at.

I also found that, especially for infants who are in the very early stages of trying to walk on their own, the height of the piano and the interactive buttons and sliders on the top of the piano would actually encourage them to stand and learn to balance themselves before that actually start trying to walk. I witnessed this with my own son as he actually started to walk more after playing with this piano.

Looking at the physical specifications, the toy measures in at 9 inches high, 18,6 inches wide and 15.9 inches deep. It weighs about 7.5 pounds and requires three “C” batteries.
