The NES30 Pro bluetooth controller is the big brother to the NES30 Classic by 8Bitdo. On a quick side note , 8Bitdo is a company that specializes in retro gaming accessories such as controllers. Today there are many controllers out there in the market and they all do have that Bluetooth capability as well, but what sets the NES30 Pro gampad from the mediocrity of the masses is the look and feel. Anyone who remembers the original Nintendo Entertainment System or NES would remember those rectangular looking controllers with the near perfect Nintendo style D-pad on the left and those four A,B,X and Y action buttons on the right. Red buttons on a brown canvas surrounded by a light brown casing makes up what is known as one of the most iconic gaming controllers in gaming history – I am talking about the NES controller of days gone by.
But I digress. The NES30 Pro has the same color scheme of the NES controller and it has all of the modern day buttons and functionality added to it to make it compatible with all of the modern day games that are available in the market today.
This Bluetooth controller is compatible with iOS, Android and Windows platforms and connects to devices very easily indeed. Simply activate the Bluetooth radio on your device, hold down the power button on the NES30 Pro Bluetooth Controller for a few seconds until the two long, thin LEDs along the bottom of the controller begin to flash signalling that it is ready to pair with any device that is also searching for devices.
The NES30 Pro comes with double shoulder buttons, dual analogue sticks with comfortable rubber buttons that also double as L3 and R3 buttons seeing that they can be pressed like regular buttons as well.
There is also a built in Lithium Ion battery that can easily be charged via a mini USB port located on the top of the controller. Finally, I think that the tipping point for me was when I noticed how small and compact it was. It is perfect for gaming on the go. I was also pleasantly surprised when I noticed how comfortable it felt in my large man-hands.
The NES30 Pro makes a great gift for hard core Gamers who need to be able to play their favourite enulation games, Android games and PC games on their tablet (or smartphone) while on the road.
