Hyperkin SupaBoy S Portable Pocket Console Review

Hyperkin Supaboy S

If you loved 16-Bit video games from back in the day you are in luck if you would like to relive those glory days because of this great innovative portable gaming system called the Hyperkin SupaBoy S Pocket Console for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System or the Super Famicom.

Unlike other portable game consoles out there, the Hyperkin SupaBoy S Portable Pocket Console plays games using the original SNES and Super Famicom cartridges. The system has a gorgeous 4.3 inch screen and is capable of playing SNES and SFC games in either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios.
The system can also play both NTSC and PAL cartridge formats (unlike the original SNES system which only used to play NTSC cartridges). What is really great about this game platform is that it is more than a mere portable gaming system.  In fact, it can also be a home game system because there are also two ports on the front of the Hyperkin SupaBoy S that can accommodate two original SNES controllers and there is also a TV out port which connects the SupaBoy to a television set via an AV cable.

Other features include an adjustable brightness button, a charge port (micro USB format) as well as an internal lithium-ion rechargeable battery which is designed to give up to ten (10) hours of continuous game play.
All of the buttons that came on the original SNES system can be found on the Hyperkin console as well.  On the left there is the Nintendo style D-Pad and the familiar left and right shoulder buttons.  On the right hand side there are four action buttons with the same color palette as the original SNES controllers (purple and cream). Start and Select buttons are included as well.
The great news is that these cool gaming systems are available to purchase now and you can get them from Amazon here.  Enjoy!
