Samsung S8+ Review

Samsung S8+

The Samsung S8+ is the latest in Samsung’s smartphone series at the time this blog post is being written. I have been using this phone for the past month now and I must that I am truly impressed. When you take this thing out of the box you think that you are literally holding a dark coloured gold bar in your hands.

Samsung S8+

The phone weighs in at about 173 grams and has a large screen size of 6.2 inches. Although the screen has a diagonal measurement of over six inches it has the width of smaller form factor phones like its predecessors the Samsung S7 and S6 phones, thus making it fit comfortably in your hand. The good thing about the slim form factor of the S8+ is that you can easily navigate the touch screen with just one hand using your thumb.

More on the screen, it has a pixel density of 529 ppi and has curved edges. There are 1440 x 2960 pixels inhabiting the gorgeous 6.2 inch screen and watching movies and playing high quality graphic video games on this thing is simply beautiful. Simply put, the screen is stunning. By the way, speaking of the bezel width on either side of the screen, there is virtually no bezel, quite impressive indeed.

Looking at the phone’s dimensions it is 59.5 mm wide, 73.4 mm in height and 8.1 mm thick. To be honest it looks like a chocolate bar but I would not recommend trying to eat this thing.

Samsung S8+

On the inside the Samsung Galaxy S8+ is no slouch. It comes packing a very powerful octa-core 1.9GHz processor, 128GB of onboard memory and 6GB of RAM making it one of the most powerful phones on the market at the time that this blog post was written.

Android 7.0 (Nougat) comes installed on your phone as well. Looking at the camera it has a 12 megapixel rear facing camera capable of recording video at 2160p at 30 frames per second and for you guys who were not that great at math that is twice that of HD 1080p that is available on all of those other mediocre smartphones on the market today.
